Toiletry Kit Packing 101: Never Get Stranded Without Your Toothbrush Again

Frequent travelers know the importance of a well packed toiletry case. It is never cool to be caught without a toothbrush when you are stranded at an airport after your flight has been delayed. While traditionally toiletry kits were plastic zipper bags which came in fairly standard sizes, today the modern traveler prefers to select a zippered bag in a size that is most convenient for him. His choice will also depend on the duration of travel. An overnight stay might call for a small bag to carry basics in, while a longer stay warrants a larger bag which will fit in shampoo bottles and travel sized hairdryers.
Another thing to consider is where you'll be keeping your toiletry case. In most instances, it will go into your hand luggage fore easy access should you need it on your journey. If this is the case, then size does matter. Recent US and international security concerns have given rise to the new rule, where travelers can carry only 3 ounces of liquid or less in containers of 1 quart size. This should be secured in a clear zip top bag for easy identification, and only 1 such bag is allowed per person. Also known as the 3-1-1 rule, it is easy to see how this limits the size of your toiletry case. Always check the TSA (Transportation Security Administration) website before travelling for the latest in travel updates.
When selecting the perfect toiletry case, keep in the mind the following:
• It should have a strong zippered top which prevents contents from falling out
• It should be washable
• It should be light enough not to add weight to your baggage
Next, consider where you are going to be staying. Hotels will in all likelihood have soaps and shampoos saving you from carrying your own. But if you do need to take your own stash, invest in strong, leak proof bottles and decant your favorite brands into them.
Here's a list of essentials most of us travel with:
• Face soap
• Body soap
• Shampoo / conditioner
• Moisturizer
• Hand cream
• Toothbrush
• Toothpaste
• Hand sanitizer
• Travel hairdryer
• Travel manicure kit
• Deodorant
• Sunscreen
• Travel first aid kit
The following can be added to a toiletry kit or kept in a separate bag:
• Cosmetics
• Small hand held mirror
• Lip balm
• Packet of tissues
• Pre moistened novelettes
• Comb
• Hair accessories like clips and barrettes
• Disposable razors and shaving cream
• Perfume
• Contact lenses cases and solution
• Eyeglasses and case
No matter what you elect to finally fill your bag with, always ensure it is well zipped up for the contents to stay secure. Double bag any items that may potentially leak and damage the rest of the bag's contents. A good reusable toiletry kit can give you many years of service, making it an indispensible part of your travel baggage.

How Do You Know When It's Time to Change Your Toothbrush Heads?
Sometimes sonic toothbrush heads seem like they can last forever. Unfortunately, over time, they breakdown and become useless. In this article I'd like to talk about how to know when to change this important piece of your daily routine and keep your pearly whites pearly!
How Do You Know When It's Time to Change Your Toothbrush Heads?

My husband bought me my first Electric Toothbrush in 2004. It was a Phillips Sonicare Elite and I loved it! My friends had all been telling me about these new Sonicare Toothbrushes, but I just couldn't get my mind around the fact that an electric toothbrush could be such a great addition to my life.
In fact, I'd always thought that electric toothbrushes were more of a gimmick and didn't really work. I remember when I was a kid I would go to my grandparents house and my grandpa had this rotary type toothbrush with a chord and a plug and everything.
He also had one of those water-pik devices that sprayed water in between your teeth. I remember he let me use it once and I didn't really think it was that big of a deal. In fact, my teeth just felt strange after, but it didn't really get them clean feeling you know what I mean?
You know how after you brush your teeth they are really smooth feeling on your tongue? Well, this water-pik did more to just tickle my gums than anything. So I always thought that any sort of device that was designed to clean your chompers was more just a gimmick than anything and didn't really work.
In fact, I specifically remember sitting in a Dentist chair sometime in the 80's and the dental hygienist telling me that I always needed to brush every day, twice a day. Once in the morning when I woke up and once in the evening before I went to bed.
I followed her advice (and of course my parents had a little to do with that) and have never really had any major dental problems.
Well, fast forward to 2004 and I get my first Sonicare. I didn't really know what to think at first. In fact, it kind of tickled and I wasn't sure how just holding this device on my teeth could actually clean them, but it worked!
In fact, after I started using it on a regular basis, I had a regularly scheduled dentist appointment, and my teeth scored higher than they'd ever scored on the exam. (Not to mention the dental hygienist took less time picking away with that little metal hook on my teeth!)
Anyway- I was pretty happy about that. So even though the Sonicare felt a little strange in my mouth, I gave it a good try and it turns out it worked.
Well, six months later I went back for my regularly scheduled check up and found out that even though I'd been brushing regularly, my Sonicare wasn't doing as good of a job this time! I couldn't believe it. It was the exact same Dental Hygienist and Dentist, but my teeth didn't score as high as they did the time before and the plaque buildup was a little worse.
I couldn't understand it because I'd been doing the exact same routine, using the exact same toothpaste, and the exact same Sonicare toothbrush, but my teeth weren't as clean.
Well, I explained this to my Dentist, who is fortunately a really nice guy (he is a pilot and goes to that Oshkosh Air Show every year in Wisconsin- he also has the coolest coffee table gold-fish aquarium in the waiting room that my kids absolutely love!) but anyway, he explained to me that even though I had a Sonicare, it was very important that my husband and I change out the Toothbrush Heads on them regularly.
I had no idea.
Well, on the way home I stopped by Wal-Mart and looked for some replacements, but I couldn't believe the choices! There were so many, and they seemed really expensive! (not to mention I didn't know exactly what model I should get).
Well this, of course, caused me to go online and see what kind of sites there were out there that may have these kinds of things. I found this site: rel=nofollow [http://www.etoothbrushheads.com]www.eToothbrushHeads.com and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Probably what I liked best about the site is that I could see all the reviews of all the different brands of Electric Toothbrushes and even Toothbrush Heads.
At any rate, you may be wondering what my Dentist told me in regards to how often Ishould change out the toothbrush head. Well, he said that with Sonic type electric toothbrushes, you can't really tell when they wear out with the bristles like you can with a regular toothbrush. In fact, I thought that was a little odd, but because of the way the sonicare toothbrushes work they don't require as much pressure so the bristles don't get bent, but they do lose their rigidity over time.
So a good rule of thumb that my Dentist told me is every 6 months you should replace your toothbrush heads. Basically, every time you go to get a tooth exam and cleaning, you should replace them.

Good Vibrations - Why Your Manual Tootbrush Can't Shake It
Unless you've been under a rock, you've most likely heard of the popular electronic toothbrush brand, Sonicare. But you may ask what is the difference between brushing with a Sonicare electric toothbrush and brushing with my old manual toothbrush? Are Sonicare toothbrushes really easier, and more efficient than manual toothbrushes in maintaining healthy teeth?
Good Vibrations - Why Your Manual Tootbrush Can't Shake It

Unless you've been under a rock, you've most likely heard of the popular electronic toothbrush brand, Sonicare. But you may ask what is the difference between brushing with a Sonicare electric toothbrush and brushing with my old manual toothbrush? Are Sonicare toothbrushes really easier, and more efficient than manual toothbrushes in maintaining healthy teeth? And why do dentists recommend Sonicare so often?
How does Sonicare work?
Sonicare uses patented sonic technology to allow its bristles to move at a higher velocity than any other electric toothbrush. This, combined with sonic waves also used in Sonicare toothbrushes, allows for maximum cleaning power. The Sonicare toothbrushes also have a head that is proven through clinical trials to give better results than manual toothbrushes. The angle of the bristles on the head and the motion of the brushes whips toothpaste into a foam, maximize cleaning of teeth. Also it gently massages the gums for a healthier mouth overall.
Why Sonicare Instead of a Manual Toothbrush?
A Sonicare toothbrush has been shown to clean teeth better than a manual toothbrush because it gets bacteria and plaque in hard-to-reach places such as around the gum line, which are areas known to cause problems. Studies say that the Sonicare toothbrush removes nearly double the amount of plaque in between teeth than a manual toothbrush. Studies also show that Sonicare toothbrushes can remove up to 80% of stains on teeth. Many people brush too hard, in the wrong motion or not frequently enough, but Sonicare technology corrects these errors. All Sonicare toothbrushes are designed to have the up and down motion, this gives you the correct brushing motion every time you brush with no guesswork. Good Vibrations - Why Your Manual Tootbrush Can't Shake It
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Marshall_Fields]Marshall Fields
And Sonicare has a built in timing feature, which allows everyone to brush the correct amount at each session.
Why is Sonicare So Often Recommended by Dentists?
Sonicare is recommended because it is proven to work. Sonicare has revolutionized home dental care and studies show that the Sonicare toothbrush is highly effective in improving oral health. So naturally dentists recommend it order to help people maintain a healthier smile!

What's On Your Toothbrush?
What is the one thing we use several times a day and probably do not think much about? Give up? It's our toothbrush, that small slender little thing that some of us keep in our purses, some in their lunch pail and of course, we all have one in our bathrooms. But, have you ever wondered what's on your toothbrush?

What is the one thing we use several times a day and probably do not think much about? Give up? It's our toothbrush, that small slender little thing that some of us keep in our purses, some in their lunch pail and of course, we all have one in our bathrooms.
But, have you ever wondered what's on your toothbrush? Bet, you haven't!
Your toothbrush is a petri dish! Why? Well, for one thing it lives in an outhouse (bathroom,) if we carry it around with us it is usually in a closed zip lock bag or in a plastic container, with no room to breathe. Besides being confined, the poor thing gets hot and all kinds of things multiply on it!
Did you know some bacteria and viruses could survive for a week on a toothbrush? Yep! Such things as herpes simplex virus, influenza, and streptococcus, which leads to gum disease are just a few of the germs and bacteria that can lay in wait on your toothbrush.
Since most of us from the beginning of time have always kept our toothbrushes either in a toothbrush holder or in a glass container we share with others in the bathroom, the thought of germs never entered our minds.
However, according to the Academy of General Dentistry contamination from brushes touching can occur, as most families keep their brushes in a huddle on the counter or in a cabinet. Bacteria that can cause oral infections (like gingivitis and/or more serious gum diseases) can spread from one family member to another through toothbrush contact.
Toothbrushes that are stored on a counter or in a toothbrush holder are vulnerable to contamination from airborne bacteria, such as from flushing a toilet. As gross as that sounds, it appears that scientists commonly find coliform bacteria (E.coli) on toothbrushes. If it enters the blood stream, E.coli can cause a serious infection.
Here are some interesting facts for you to mull over. According to research scientists, the human mouth may have over 500 different bacterial strains residing in that warm humid place.
The bathroom is the single most germ-ridden location in the house with the bathroom sink being first, followed by the floor and the toilet seat.
Microbes from your toilet may be atomized and sprayed up to 20 feet when you flush if the lid is not down.
Excess toothpaste left on your brush is an invitation to bacteria to join in.
So what is a person to do to promote good toothbrush hygiene?
First of all never share your toothbrush with anyone.
Clean and dry your toothbrush after every use and store it upright in an open container and keep it in the medicine cabinet. If sharing a container with others do not let the brushes touch.
Brushing with a hard bristle brush can harm teeth and gums. Use a softer brush and brush gently.
Replace your toothbrush every three to four months or whenever the bristles appear worn or splayed.
During my research for information for this article, I came upon an interesting "gadget" if you will that really has the answers to the germ and bacteria problems I have been discussing. I truly find merit in this product, so much so, that I am buying it as individual gifts for my family.
I have included some of the information I found regarding this product for you to read.
The Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer:
When you hear it steam, you know it's clean. Finally, there is a safe, simple and completely effective solution to the dirty problem of toothbrush germs, and it makes perfect sense. There are actually a few methods floating around out there, but only one is the safest, most reliable, and most effective: the Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer. Using the Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer is hands-down the best way to make sure that your toothbrush is completely germ free. The Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer uses the proven power of steam to kill all germs, bacteria, viruses, fungi (molds and yeasts) and any other disgusting microbes that may have collected on your toothbrush. Most importantly, the Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer also provides a clean, germ-free environment where your toothbrush can be safely stored until the next time you use it.
The Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer is entirely unique with its patented steam-sanitization and germ-free storage system. Using the pre-measured Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer cup, you just add a little water to the sanitizing unit. The Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer generates a burst of continuous germ killing steam that safely, efficiently, and effectively wipes out greater than 99.9999% of all germs tested in major laboratory testing with absolutely no germs detected after any test! Again, all you need to do is add water!
You may have heard about other methods for cleaning your toothbrush, like soaking it in bleach, hydrogen peroxide, or mouthwash, boiling it, placing it in the dishwasher, exposing it to ultra-violet light radiation or ozone, or simply leaving it out to dry to get rid of the germs. A few of these techniques might work to kill some of the germs, but they are either essentially ineffective and/or potentially hazardous to your health.
With numerous worldwide patents and patents pending, the Germ Terminator Toothbrush Sanitizer is the most effective, natural, simplest to use and safest device ever created to sanitize your toothbrush. It takes only seconds of your time and it might be one of the most significant health decisions you can make for you and your family. It just makes sense. When it comes to something you put in your mouth, the bottom line is "CLEAN has got to be better than DIRTY". How can anyone argue with that logic?
And I agree how can anyone argue with that logic. If you would like to find out more information on the Germ Terminator and/or some other interesting topics, please visit my website at [http://www.healthyrenegade.com]

Dental Care - 10 Proven Methods For Toothbrush Cleaning
Toothbrush cleaning is taken for granted. Most users lay them down or place them anywhere that is handy. What they don't is that the toothbrush is full of bacteria, but there are some easy solutions to help reduce the amount of germs entering the body from your toothbrush.
Dental Care - 10 Proven Methods For Toothbrush Cleaning
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Janice_Dennis]Janice Dennis
From the time we are able to securely hold a toothbrush in our hand we are taught by our parents how to brush our teeth. If we couldn't perform the task very well our parents would brush our teeth for us to ensure the healthiness of our teeth and gums. Afterwards, our toothbrush may have been placed alongside those of our siblings or even our parents in an open container where bacteria collects on it's bristles.
One has to marvel at the toothbrush. The first toothbrush that resembles what we use today had its beginnings in China in the late 1400s. It was comprised of stiff hairs from a hog's neck and attached to a bamboo stick. Now, soft bristles on the "head" of a handle used along with toothpaste to brush off plaque and massage our gums. For the most part, it seems the toothbrush is only used to eliminate left over food from teeth. However, it is a major deterrent of gingivitis (gum disease), the prevention of cavities and periodontal disease which is a cause of at least one-third of adult tooth loss.
Many dentists believe that soft-bristled toothbrushes are the most effective to use since the firmer bristles can damage tooth enamel and irritate the gums. In fact, the tips of hard bristles are like sharp tips that may cause nicks in the gum, allowing bacteria to enter the bloodstream. The soft bristles are considered the most safe and comfortable especially with consideration given to how vigorously you brush your teeth.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, even after brushing and then rinsing your toothbrush contaminated and potentially pathogenic organisms remain on the bristles. We've all had lessons on how to brush our teeth, but very few lessons in toothbrush cleaning. Here are some suggestions on how to clean and take care of your toothbrush:
If you keep your toothbrush in a toothbrush protector, ensure it is dry before using the toothbrush protector. Failure to do so may lead to the development of mold on the bristles. Use a toothbrush holder that has holes. This will help with ventilation to prevent mold.
Wash your hands before handling your toothbrush.
Limit the number of brushes you keep in an open container because they rub together and may spread germs.
Wash your toothbrush before and after every use by holding it under running water and rubbing your thumb over it forcefully for five to ten seconds.
Deep clean your toothbrush by occasionally placing it in the top rack (any other location, it may melt) of your dishwasher using your normal dishwasher soap. You can also use boiling water, but be careful of melting the toothbrush.
Be mindful to replace your toothbrush every three to four months, this pertains to electric brushes also.
Always use toothpaste, it helps in keeping your brush clean.
To disinfect your toothbrush, you can store it in a 3% Hydrogen Peroxide solution (change daily, because it turns into water in a matter of hours).
In a small cup place your toothbrush with some alcohol based mouthwash, and stir for about thirty seconds. The alcohol in the mouthwash will kill off most bacteria.
Consider purchasing a UV (Ultraviolet light) toothbrush cleaner. It is safe and automatically shuts down after operation.
Toothbrush cleaning is something we sometimes take for granted. We use it on a daily basis and place it back in its container not giving a thought to the amount of bacteria floating around in our residence and then how much of it actually finds a place on our exposed toothbrush. These tips not only provide helpful information, but will make you more cognizant that your toothbrush can affect your overall heath more than you realize.
If you live in a sterile environment for long periods of time it can decrease your immunity. Therefore, it is important to take the time to safeguard your toothbrush from airborne bacteria in your bathroom and residence. It could make a difference in your health.
Can You Make Money With Google? Don't Be A Fool

Can you make money with Google? Of course you can, and I don't mean for my title to be misleading. There are thousands of people who make a living online utilizing Google, including me. At the end of this article, you can learn how to make money legitimately too.
What I meant was you have to be careful and not be a fool that falls for the popular "make money with Google" scam that separates people from their money every day. There is a scam out there that promises to show you how to make a lot of money online, but unfortunately all you will do is lose money.
You may have seen the sites that have an offer like this: "Learn how to work for Google and make $300 a day in your spare time" or "Make money online with Google- $1000 a day with hardly any work!" All you have to do is sign up for a free kit from Google that will show you how to get started.
These offers sound enticing- after all, who wouldn't want to make hundreds of dollars each day in their spare time? The offer is appealing and people sign up for their free "make money with google kit" every day. But if it sounds too good to be true, then.... you know the rest of the saying.
You can't really expect to sign up for a free kit and learn to get rich overnight. I don't mean to be so blunt, but these scammers depend on people looking for a way to make quick money, and what better way to get their credit card info then giving out something for free and making them pay for shipping.
That is how the scam works- you sign up for the free kit, and all you have to do is pay $2 or so for shipping and handling. But after they have your credit card info, they will charge you a lot of money. People lose a lot of money this way, and it can be difficult getting things straightened out with your credit card company if you try to dispute it.
And here is the real kicker...this is technically not even considered a scam. They put their plan on their terms of service page, but it is hidden well and usually in tiny font so nobody will see it until it is too late. But since it is on their site, it is technically not a scam.
But they do it on purpose to rip people off, so I consider it a scam. Also, these sites are not related to Google either, and you will not actually "work for Google" like most of them say. And many of these types of sites were also fined by the FTC recently, so that is further proof that you should be wary of them.
So yes, you can make money online. But please do yourself a favor and research things before giving out your credit card info to these scammers. The make money with Google scam tricks people every day, but you don't have to be their next victim.
However, I don't want to scare you into thinking that it is impossible to make money online. The problem is that, again, these sites are not affiliate with Google and are just scams. But, it is possible to make money if you actually use Google's free services legitimately.
